Check Door Switch

Wiring diagram: 

Door lock control system Ref. to WIRING SYSTEM>DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM>WIRING DIAGRAM .

  1. CHECK DATA MONITOR  .
    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    2. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, display the following items in the [Data monitor] of [Body Control]. Ref. to BODY CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR .
      • [Driver's door SW input]
      • [P-door SW input]
      • [Rear right door SW input]
      • [Rear left door SW input]
      • [R Gate SW input]

    Does the display switch between [OFF] ←→ [ON] when each door or rear gate is opened/closed?

    Yes:  The door switch or the rear gate latch switch is normal.

    No:  GO TO  2.

  2. CHECK HARNESS  .
    1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
    2. Disconnect the connector of body integrated unit.
    3. Disconnect the connector of the door switch or the rear gate latch switch that does not show any change on the display.
    4. Check the harness between body integrated unit and defective switch.

      Connector & terminal 

      Front door LH 

      (i82) No. 39 - (L101) No. 2:

      Front door RH 

      (i82) No. 13 - (R101) No. 2:

      Rear door LH 

      (i82) No. 14 - (L102) No. 2:

      Rear door RH 

      (i82) No. 27 - (R102) No. 2:

      Rear gate 

      (i82) No. 15 - (Db61) No. 1:

    Is harness normal?

    Yes:  GO TO  3.

    No:  Repair or replace the defective part.

  3. CHECK HARNESS  .

    Measure the resistance between the faulty switch connector and chassis ground.

    Connector & terminal 

    Front door LH 

    (L101) No. 1 - Chassis ground:

    Front door RH 

    (R101) No. 1 - Chassis ground:

    Rear door LH 

    (L102) No. 1 - Chassis ground:

    Rear door RH 

    (R102) No. 1 - Chassis ground:

    Rear gate 

    (Db61) No. 2 - Chassis ground:

    Is the resistance less than 10 Ω?

    Yes:  GO TO  4.

    No:  Repair or replace the defective part.

  4. CHECK DOOR SWITCH  .

    Measure the resistance between faulty switch terminals.

    Are the door switch and the rear gate latch & actuator assembly normal?

    Yes:  Replace the body integrated unit. Ref. to BODY CONTROL/COMMUNICATION SYSTEM>BODY INTEGRATED UNIT .

    No:  Replace the following faulty parts.
