Cowl Panel: Removal

  1. Clean the lower area of the front side of the glass.
  2. Remove the arm assembly windshield wiper. Ref. to WIPER AND WASHER SYSTEMS>FRONT WIPER ARM>REMOVAL .
  3. Release the claws, and then remove the right and left cowl panel sides.
    CAUTION: Pulling with excessive force may damage the cowl panel side. If it is difficult to remove, use a plastic remover or equivalent tool.

  4. Remove the cowl panel assembly.
    CAUTION: When removing the clip from the cowl panel center, push the claw of the clip from both sides.
    • Be careful not to apply excessive force when pulling the clip, as the clip may become damaged.
    • If pushing the claw of the clip is difficult, turning the claw position will facilitate the operation.

    1. Disconnect the hose windshield washer.
    2. Remove the clip.
    3. Remove the cowl panel assembly by pulling it out towards the front of the vehicle.

    4. Remove the nozzle windshield washer and the hose windshield washer as necessary. Ref. to WIPER AND WASHER SYSTEMS>FRONT WASHER NOZZLE AND HOSE>REMOVAL .
