Front Wiper Arm: Removal

CAUTION:
  • When standing up the arm assembly windshield wiper, make sure to hold the arm portion.
  • Holding the blade portion may cause the blade deformation.

(a) Blade ASSY windshield wiper
(b) Arm ASSY windshield wiper
NOTE: When standing up the arm assembly windshield wiper, perform the driver's side first in order not to interfere the arms with each other.
  1. Remove the cover windshield wiper arm.
  2. Remove the arm assembly windshield wiper.
    1. Press the claw (a) and remove the cover joint from the cowl panel assembly.

    2. Disconnect the hose wiper arm washer from the joint washer hose.
    3. Remove the nuts, and remove the arm assembly windshield wiper.

    4. Put alignment marks (a) at two places and disconnect the hose wiper arm washer from the nozzle.
      CAUTION: Do not remove the wiper washer nozzle from the arm assembly windshield wiper assistor.
      If nozzle replacement is required, replace the arm assembly windshield wiper assistor as a unit.

    5. Pull out the hose wiper arm washer from the arm assembly windshield wiper assistor.
