Lane Departure Prevention Does Not Turn To Standby Mode (Lane Display Does Not Illuminate)/Lane Departure Prevention Does Not Operate (Lane Display Does Not Illuminate In Yellow)

  1. CHECK USING CHECK LIST  .

    Using CHECK LIST (LANE DEPARTURE PREVENTION), check the following and respond to it. Ref. to EYESIGHT (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTICS WITH PHENOMENON>LANE DEPARTURE PREVENTION FUNCTION>CHECK LIST (LANE DEPARTURE PREVENTION) .

    • Does the current status apply to the condition that lane departure prevention is not desired?
    • Does the current status apply to the condition that an object such as a white line is hard to be recognized by the stereo camera?
    • Does the current status apply to the condition that sufficient performance of lane departure prevention cannot be achieved?

    Is there a relevant item in the check list?

    Yes  : When there is a relevant item, it can be the cause of malfunction. Eliminate the cause, and check that the malfunction has been improved.

    No  : Check that the item [Lane Departure Prevention Assist (Road Edge) Operation History] is shown on the [Work Support] screen.

    • When the item [Lane Departure Prevention Assist (Road Edge) Operation History] is shown:

      Go to  2.

    • When the item [Lane Departure Prevention Assist (Road Edge) Operation History] is not shown:

    Go to  3.

  2. CHECK FOR PRESENCE OF LANE DIVISION LINE  .

    Check the road where the phenomenon occurred.

    Did the phenomenon occur while the vehicle was driving a road without lane division lines? (If unknown, go to No.)

    Yes  : Go to  4.

    No  : Go to  3.

  3. CHECK LANE DEPARTURE PREVENTION (WHITE LINE) DEACTIVATE CODE  .
    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    2. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check [Lane Departure Prevention Assist (White Line) Deactivate Code(s) Display]. Ref. to EYESIGHT (DIAGNOSTICS)>LANE DEPARTURE PREVENTION ASSIST (WHITE LINE) DEACTIVATE CODE(S) DISPLAY .

    Is a deactivate code displayed?

    Yes  : Check the displayed deactivate code. Ref. to EYESIGHT (DIAGNOSTICS)>LANE DEPARTURE PREVENTION ASSIST (WHITE LINE) DEACTIVATE CODE(S) DISPLAY .

    No  :

    • When answered as "No: There is operation history of lane departure prevention (road edge)" in step 1, and "Unknown" in step 2:

      Go to  4.

    • Other than above:

    Go to  6.

  4. CHECK OPERATION HISTORY OF THE LANE DEPARTURE PREVENTION (ROAD EDGE)  .

    Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check [Lane Departure Prevention Assist (Road Edge) Operation History] of [Work Support]. Ref. to EYESIGHT (DIAGNOSTICS)>WORK SUPPORT .

    Is there one remaining in the history that matches date and time (if indicated in the operation history), odometer value, and IG ON count?

    Yes  : System is normal. Lane departure prevention is functioning.

    No  : Go to  5.

  5. CHECK LANE DEPARTURE PREVENTION (ROAD EDGE) DEACTIVATE CODE  .

    Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check [Lane Departure Prevention Assist (Road Edge) Deactivate Code(s) Display]. Ref. to EYESIGHT (DIAGNOSTICS)>LANE DEPARTURE PREVENTION ASSIST (ROAD EDGE) DEACTIVATE CODE(S) DISPLAY .

    Is a deactivate code displayed?

    Yes  : Check the displayed deactivate code. Ref. to EYESIGHT (DIAGNOSTICS)>LANE DEPARTURE PREVENTION ASSIST (ROAD EDGE) DEACTIVATE CODE(S) DISPLAY .

    No  : Go to  6.

  6. INSPECTION OF WINDSHIELD GLASS AND DASHBOARD  .

    Check the windshield glass and the dashboard. Ref. to CAUTION>CHECK WINDSHIELD GLASS INCLUDING PROHIBITED AREA . Ref. to CAUTION>CHECK WINDSHIELD GLASS INCLUDING PROHIBITED AREA>2. PROHIBITED AREA OF DASHBOARD AND INSPECTION .

    Is the check result OK?

    Yes  : Go to  7.

    No  : Repair or replace the faulty portion according to the inspection result.

  7. INSPECTION OF FRONT WIPER  .

    Check the front wiper. Ref. to EYESIGHT (DIAGNOSTICS)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>INSPECTION>FRONT WIPER .

    Is the check result OK?

    Yes  : Go to  8.

    No  : Repair or replace the faulty portion according to the inspection result.

  8. CHECK OPTICAL AXIS OF HEADLIGHT  .

    Check the optical axis of the headlight. Ref. to LIGHTING SYSTEM>HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY>ADJUSTMENT .

    Is the check result OK?

    Yes  : Go to  9.

    No  : Repair or replace the faulty portion according to the inspection result.

  9. CHECK STEREO CAMERA  .

    Check the stereo camera. Ref. to EYESIGHT (DIAGNOSTICS)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>INSPECTION>STEREO CAMERA .

    Is the check result OK?

    Yes  : Go to  10.

    No  : Repair or replace the faulty portion according to the inspection result.

  10. CHECK TIRE AND WHEEL  .

    Check the tires and wheel alignment. Ref. to WHEEL AND TIRE SYSTEM>TIRE AND WHEEL>INSPECTION . Ref. to FRONT SUSPENSION>WHEEL ALIGNMENT>INSPECTION .

    Is the check result OK?

    Yes  : Go to  11.

    No  : Repair or replace the faulty portion according to the inspection result.

  11. ADJUST OPTICAL AXIS OF THE STEREO CAMERA  .

    Perform optical axis adjustment of the stereo camera. Ref. to EYESIGHT>STEREO CAMERA ADJUSTMENT, INSPECTION .

    Was the fault fixed after adjusting the optical axis?

    Yes  : System is normal.

    No  : Replace the stereo camera. Ref. to EYESIGHT>STEREO CAMERA .
