DTC B281C: Incompatible With Eyesight (EPS)
DTC detecting condition:
The EPS Control Module does not recognize EyeSight.
Trouble symptom:
All functions of EyeSight system do not operate.
Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Ref. to EYESIGHT (DIAGNOSTICS)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION
- CHECK DTC

Read the DTC of [EyeSight] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to EYESIGHT (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)
Is DTC U displayed? (Current code)
Yes : Perform the diagnosis for LAN system. Ref. to LAN SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE>PROCEDURE
And then, Go to 2.
No : Go to 2.

Read the DTC of [EyeSight] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to EYESIGHT (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)
Is DTC B displayed? (Current code)
Yes : Perform the diagnosis for displayed DTC other than DTC B281C. Ref. to EYESIGHT (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)
And then, Go to 3.
No : Go to 3.

Is DTC B281C still a current code?
Yes : Go to 4.
No : Using the Subaru Select Monitor, perform the clear memory of [EyeSight]. Ref. to COMMON (DIAGNOSTICS)>CLEAR MEMORY
- CHECK DATA MONITOR

Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items in the [Data Monitor] of [EyeSight]. Ref. to EYESIGHT (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR
- EyeSight Specification
Is the data [Yes]?
Yes : Go to 5.
No : Perform the diagnosis for combination meter. Ref. to COMBINATION METER (DIAGNOSTICS)>BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE>PROCEDURE
- CHECK DATA MONITOR

Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items in the [Data Monitor] of [EyeSight]. Ref. to EYESIGHT (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR
- EyeSight Recognition Status (EPS)
Is the data [Detect]?
Yes : Replace the stereo camera. Ref. to EYESIGHT>STEREO CAMERA
No : Perform the diagnosis for the electric power steering. Ref. to POWER STEERING (DIAGNOSTICS)>BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE>PROCEDURE
