Roof Molding: Removal

CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the body.

Turn over the front end of the molding - roof.
Slide the inner fastener in the direction of the arrow using a flat tip screwdriver, then remove the fastener from the stud on the vehicle side.

Right side: Slide towards the front of the vehicle.

Left side: Slide towards the rear of the vehicle.

Pull up the molding - roof, and remove from the vehicle.
NOTE: Remove the cap - molding as necessary.
Remove the trim panel - roof assembly. Refer to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>ROOF TRIM>REMOVAL .
Remove the curtain airbag module. Refer to AIRBAG SYSTEM>CURTAIN AIRBAG MODULE>REMOVAL .
CAUTION:
- Before handling the airbag system components, refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM". Refer to AIRBAG SYSTEM>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
- Be careful not to damage the curtain airbag module during removal.
Remove the nuts, and remove the bracket - carrier.
