Rear Duct

  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to GROUND TERMINAL REMOVAL OR INSTALLATION .
    NOTE:
    • Release the shift lock and shift the select lever to the "N" position. Ref. to CONTROL SYSTEMS>SELECT LEVER>REMOVAL .
    • For the power seat model, remove the console box before removing the ground terminal from the battery sensor.
  2. Remove the cover assembly front and the console box assembly. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>CONSOLE BOX>REMOVAL
  3. Remove the cover center side. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>CENTER CONSOLE>REMOVAL
  4. Remove the duct rear heater front.
    1. Remove the slide lock.
    2. Release the claws, and remove the duct rear heater front.

CAUTION: Before handling the airbag system components, refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM". Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
  1. Prior to starting work, check "Precautions" in the "SEATS" service information. Ref. to SEATS>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
  2. Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Ref. to GROUND TERMINAL REMOVAL OR INSTALLATION .
    NOTE:
    • Release the shift lock and shift the select lever to the "N" position. Ref. to CONTROL SYSTEMS>SELECT LEVER>REMOVAL .
    • For the power seat model, remove the console box before removing the ground terminal from the battery sensor.
  3. Remove the duct rear heater front. Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER>Air Vent Duct>REMOVAL>REAR DUCT .
  4. Remove the front seats. Ref. to SEATS>FRONT SEAT>REMOVAL .
  5. Turn over the floor mat. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>FLOOR MAT>REMOVAL .
    NOTE: For models with amplifier, remove the duct extension.
  6. Remove the duct rear heater rear.
    1. Release the claws, and then remove the duct rear heater rear.
