Headlight Assembly: Removal

CAUTION: Do not perform work with wet hands, because there is a possibility of electrical shock.

Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
NOTE: For the hybrid model, disconnect the battery negative terminal.
Remove the battery. (When the light assembly - head (LED type) on the left side is removed)
- Except for hybrid model: Ref. to STARTING/CHARGING SYSTEMS (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>BATTERY>REMOVAL .
- Hybrid model: Ref. to STARTING/CHARGING SYSTEMS (H4DO(HEV))>BATTERY>REMOVAL .
Remove the air intake duct. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>AIR INTAKE DUCT>REMOVAL .
Remove the cover UPR - front.
1. Remove the clips, and remove the cover UPR - front.

Remove the bumper face - front. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>FRONT BUMPER>REMOVAL .

Remove the bracket - bumper UPR.

Remove the bolts and clips, and remove the bracket - bumper UPR.

Remove the cover - fender UPR.

Remove the clip, and remove the cover - fender UPR.

Remove the keyless buzzer or access buzzer. (When the light assembly - head on the left side is removed) Ref. to SECURITY AND LOCKS>KEYLESS BUZZER>REMOVAL .

Remove the bracket - front bumper corner.

Remove the bolts, and then remove the bracket - front bumper corner.

Remove the light assembly - head.

CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the light assembly - head and the fender - front.

Remove the bolts and clips, and remove the light assembly - head.

NOTE: The figure shows the halogen type. For the LED type, perform the procedure by referring to the illustration below.
