Floor Mat: Removal

CAUTION:
  • Before handling the airbag system components, refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM". Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
  • Airbag system satellite safing sensor is located under the front center of the rear seat cushion. Be careful not to apply strong impact to the sensor when working with the rear seat cushion removed.
  1. Prior to starting work, check "Precautions" in the "SEATS" information. Ref. to SEATS>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
  2. Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
    NOTE:
    • For CVT models, release the shift lock and shift the select lever to the "N" position.
    • For the hybrid model, disconnect the battery negative terminal.
    • For models with power seat, remove the seat mounting bolts before disconnecting the ground terminal from the battery sensor or disconnecting the battery negative terminal.
  3. Remove the front seat assembly. Ref. to SEATS>FRONT SEAT>REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the holder assembly jack and extension duct. (Hybrid model)
  5. Remove the power amplifier assembly and the extension duct. (Model with power amplifier) Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>POWER AMPLIFIER>REMOVAL .
  6. Remove the rear seat cushion assembly. Ref. to SEATS>REAR SEAT>REMOVAL .
  7. Remove the cover assembly - front and the console box assembly. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>CONSOLE BOX>REMOVAL .
  8. Remove the panel center LWR, and remove the tray - center UPR. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>CENTER CONSOLE>REMOVAL .
  9. Remove the cover side sill - front INN, cover side sill - rear INN, and trim panel - center pillar LWR on the left and right sides. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>LOWER INNER TRIM>REMOVAL .
  10. Remove the cover - handle. Ref. to SECURITY AND LOCKS>REMOTE OPENERS>REMOVAL>FUEL LID OPENER (EXCEPT FOR HYBRID MODEL) .
  11. Remove the knobs of the hook - seat cushion rear.

  12. Take out the floor mat from the vehicle.
    1. Remove the clips from the floor mat.
    2. Fold down the floor mat and take it out from the vehicle.
