Seat System - Seats: General Description: Caution
- When performing service operation, refer to "Repair Contents" in "General Description". Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS .
- Refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM" information. Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
- Before performing vehicle maintenance, turn the ignition switch to OFF and disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY
.NOTE: For the hybrid model, disconnect the battery negative terminal.
- Before disconnecting connectors of sensors or units, be sure to disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor. (Except for hybrid model)
- Before disconnecting connectors of sensors or units, be sure to disconnect the ground terminal from battery. (Hybrid model)
- Be careful not to damage the vehicle when taking out the seat from the vehicle.
- The load sensor of the occupant detection system of the passenger's seat is fixed to the cushion frame assembly. Never remove the load sensor from the cushion frame assembly. The following parts can be replaced as a single unit.
- The cushion pad, cushion cover, occupant detection control module and seat harness can be replaced as a single unit. When the cushion frame assembly is replaced, the occupant detection control module, seat harness and load sensor are assembled. When replacing the cushion frame assembly, do not touch the load sensor to avoid electrical damage.
- Before assembling, make sure how the harnesses such as the side airbag harness and the seat belt inner - front harness are routed in order to avoid misarranging. Assembling with harnesses improperly routed may cause the harness to get caught and short out.
- If the seat surfaces of backrests and seat cushions are removed, make sure to replace hang wires and hog rings with new parts.
