Rear Seat: Disassembly
- Prior to starting work, check the following precautions. Ref. to SEATS>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
- Remove the rear seat. Ref. to SEATS>REAR SEAT>REMOVAL .
- Remove the headrest assembly - rear backrest.
- Remove the armrest assembly - rear center. (Models with armrest)
- Remove the cover - armrest by pulling it in the direction of the arrow (black).
- Remove the screws and remove the armrest assembly - rear center.
NOTE: The armrest assembly - rear center cannot be detached unless pin positions on the RH side of the backrest assembly and on the center side of the armrest assembly - rear are aligned. - Remove the knob - backrest. (Screw-in type)
- Remove the clips on the backside of the cover COMPL - rear backrest.
- Turn over the cover COMPL - rear backrest.
- Detach the plastic fastener at the bottom of backrest assembly and turn over the cover COMPL - rear backrest.
- Remove the tether anchor cover by inserting your hand from the inside of back board and pad. (5 door model)CAUTION: Pay attention to the burrs on the panel edge.
NOTE: Pull up the pad and cover to remove the tether anchor cover. - Detach the plastic fastener at the bottom of backrest assembly and turn over the cover COMPL - rear backrest.
- Remove the plastic hooks on the back side of the backrest assembly.
- Remove the lock assembly - rear backrest rear.CAUTION: Pay attention to the burrs on the panel edge.
- Remove the bushing - headrest and the bushing - lock assembly.NOTE: Catch the tip of the bushing - headrest with pliers and push it outward from the inside of seat to remove it.
- For the backrest LH, remove the hog ring and wire clamp. (Impreza model with armrest)
- For the backrest LH, remove the hog ring, wire clamp and J-fastener. (Crosstrek model with armrest)
- Remove the frame assembly - rear backrest.
- Remove the hog rings, then remove the cover COMPL - rear backrest.
- Remove the hog rings on the back side of the rear seat cushion assembly.
- Remove the hog rings, then remove the cover - rear cushion.
