DTC P0C64-13: Generator Position Sensor Circuit "A" Circuit Open: Notes
- -
Detecting condition:
When the Generator resolver sin-phase signal line is open
(1 trip detection logic)
Trouble symptom:
- Reduced output power
- Engine used while driving and engine speed becomes high
- When Engine always stopped, A driving range is limited.
CAUTION: Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Ref. to P-HEV DRIVE MOTOR (DIAGNOSTICS)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .NOTE:- When the faulty phenomenon is not reproduced, perform a driving test on a road where vehicle vibration tends to occur so that the phenomenon may occur.
- When the resolver has a malfunction, the vehicle may not be able to drive smoothly.
- When it is difficult to check the connector for connecting condition, terminal deformation poor crimping, reconnect the connector after disconnecting once, and read DTCs again to check reproduction of the condition.
- It may be poor connector connection if the DTC condition is not reproduced. However, the value may temporarily be outside the DTC detection threshold due to "vibrations", "temperature change due to elapsed time", etc. because of the connector inspection procedure. Therefore, be sure to perform the following inspection to check that there is no abnormality in other areas.
- CHECK DTC
.
Read the following DTCs using Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to P-HEV HYBRID POWERTRAIN CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) . Ref. to P-HEV DRIVE MOTOR (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .
- P-HEV Hybrid Powertrain Control
- P-HEV Drive Motor

- Perform the diagnosis for the simultaneously displayed DTCs.NOTE: If more than one DTC is simultaneously displayed, perform the diagnosis in the order described in the above.
- Perform the diagnosis for the simultaneously displayed DTCs.NOTE: If more than one DTC is simultaneously displayed, perform the diagnosis in the order described in the above.
No: -
- CHECK THE CONNECTING CONDITION OF CONNECTOR (Inverter with converter assembly LOW PRESSURE CONNECTOR)
.CAUTION: Make sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles during the work.
- Check that the Service plug is disconnected. Ref. to HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE>SERVICE PLUG .
- Check the connecting condition of low pressure connectors (HV23) and (HV24) in Inverter with converter assembly and check the relevant terminals for contact pressure, deformation and intrusion of water or foreign matter. Ref. to HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE>INVERTER AND CONVERTER ASSEMBLY
.NOTE: When connecting the connector, insert to the end with the lock lever raised, then fold the lock lever completely until a click is heard. After connected, make sure that the lock claw does not loosen and pull the connector to see that it does not come off.
Is there looseness at the connector connection, or any poor contact, deformation or intrusion of water or foreign matter at the relevant terminals?
Yes: Connect the connector securely. Or repair the poor contact of connector.
No: Go to 3.
- CHECK GENERATOR RESOLVER CIRCUIT
.
Check GENERATOR RESOLVER CIRCUIT. Ref. to P-HEV HYBRID POWERTRAIN CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTICS WITH PHENOMENON>INSPECTION>GENERATOR RESOLVER CIRCUIT .
Is the GENERATOR RESOLVER CIRCUIT OK?
Yes: Replace Inverter with converter assembly. Ref. to HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE>INVERTER AND CONVERTER ASSEMBLY .
No: Repair according to GENERATOR RESOLVER CIRCUIT inspection.
