Radiator Fan and Fan Motor Assembly: Removal

  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  2. Remove the V-belt covers.

  3. Remove the under cover - front. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>FRONT UNDER COVER>REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the lower side bolts (A) securing the radiator upper frame.
  5. Disconnect main fan motor connector (B) and sub fan motor connector (C).

  6. Disconnect the over flow hose.

  7. Remove the reservoir tank. Ref. to COOLING (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>RESERVOIR TANK>REMOVAL .
  8. Remove the air intake duct. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>AIR INTAKE DUCT>REMOVAL .
  9. Remove the front bumper. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>FRONT BUMPER>REMOVAL .
  10. Remove the cover UPR - front.

  11. Remove the bracket - bumper UPR.

  12. Remove the front hood lock assembly. Ref. to SECURITY AND LOCKS>FRONT HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY>REMOVAL .
  13. Disconnect the connector from the horn, and remove the clip.

  14. Remove the upper side bolts securing the radiator upper frame, and remove the radiator upper frame.

  15. Remove the radiator upper cushion.
  16. Disengage the claws and remove the radiator fan and fan motor assembly.
