Inspection When Main Fan And Sub Fan Do Not Stop

CHECK SUB FAN RELAY .
1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
2. Remove the sub fan relay. Ref. to COOLING (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>RADIATOR FAN RELAY>LOCATION .
3. Perform unit check for the sub fan relay. Ref. to COOLING (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>RADIATOR FAN RELAY>INSPECTION .
  Is the sub fan relay OK?
  
  Yes:
  
  Go to 2.
  
  No:
  1. Replace the sub fan relay.
  2. Restore the vehicle to its original state.
INSULATION CHECK OF HARNESS BETWEEN SUB FAN RELAY AND SUB FAN MOTOR .
1. Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  NOTE: Sub fan relay is removed.
2. Turn to IG ON.
3. Check the radiator fan operation.
  Do the sub fan motor and the main fan motor rotate?
  
  Yes:
  1. Repair the harness between sub fan relay and sub fan motor.
  2. Restore the vehicle to its original state.
  No:
  
  Go to 3.
INSULATION CHECK OF HARNESS BETWEEN SUB FAN RELAY AND ECM .
1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
2. Disconnect the ECM connector. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM)>REMOVAL .
3. Check insulation of harness and chassis ground between sub fan relay and ECM.
  Are they insulated?
  
  Yes:
  1. Replace the ECM. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) .
  2. Restore the vehicle to its original state.
  No:
  1. Repair the harness between sub fan relay and ECM.
  2. Restore the vehicle to its original state.
