Heater Duct: Removal: Rear

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
CAUTION: Before handling the airbag system components, refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM". Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
  1. Prior to starting work, check "Precautions" in the "SEATS" information. Ref. to SEATS>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
  2. Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
    NOTE:
    • For CVT models, release the shift lock and shift the select lever to the "N" position.
    • For models with power seat, remove the seat mounting bolts before disconnecting the ground terminal from the battery sensor.
  3. Remove the duct - rear heater front. Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER (EXCEPT FOR HEV)>HEATER DUCT>REMOVAL>FRONT .
  4. Remove the front seats. Ref. to SEATS>FRONT SEAT>REMOVAL .
  5. Turn over the floor mat. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>FLOOR MAT>REMOVAL .
    NOTE: For models with power amplifier, remove the duct - extension.
  6. Remove the duct - rear heater rear.
    1. Release the clips, and remove the adapter cord.
    2. Release the claws, and then remove the duct - rear heater rear.
