2.0 L Model

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
CAUTION: If the engine coolant is spilled over the engine or the exhaust pipe, completely wipe it off to avoid emission of smoke or causing a fire.
  1. Drain engine coolant. Ref. to COOLING (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>ENGINE COOLANT>REPLACEMENT>DRAINING OF ENGINE COOLANT .
  2. Remove the clip from the air intake boot, and loosen the clamp.

  3. Remove the air intake boot, and place it aside so that it does not interfere with the work.
    CAUTION: Be careful not to pull out the PCV hose.

  4. Disconnect the water hose (A), water hose (B) and the water hose (C).
    NOTE: Disconnecting the water hose (C) is only for the CVT model.

  5. Remove the nuts and bolts which secure the EGR cooler to the EGR control valve and cylinder head RH, and remove the EGR cooler.

  6. Remove the gasket from the stud bolt.

  7. Remove the water hose (A).
    NOTE: Remove if necessary.
  8. Remove the stud bolt.
    NOTE: Remove if necessary.
