Crank Pulley: Removal
NOTE:
When replacing a single part, perform the work with the engine assembly installed to body.
- When working on the vehicleNOTE: When working on the vehicle, perform the following steps also.
- Remove the air intake duct. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>AIR INTAKE DUCT>REMOVAL .
- Remove the A/C accumulator assembly. (Hybrid model) Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER (HEV)>ACCUMULATOR> REMOVAL .
- Remove the front under cover. (Gasoline engine model) Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>FRONT UNDER COVER>REMOVAL
.NOTE: This procedure is performed only when the crank pulley bolt contacts the radiator upper frame, causing the bolt not to come off.
- Remove the bolts securing the lower side of the radiator upper frame.NOTE: This procedure is performed only when the crank pulley bolt contacts the radiator upper frame, causing the bolt not to come off.
- Remove the V-belts.
Gasoline engine model:
Ref. to MECHANICAL (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>V-BELT>REMOVAL>GASOLINE ENGINE MODEL>V-BELT .
Hybrid model:
Ref. to MECHANICAL (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>V-BELT>REMOVAL>HYBRID MODEL>V-BELT .
- Use the ST1 and ST2 to lock the crank pulley, remove the crank pulley bolt.NOTE: To prevent damaging ST1, attach the ST2 onto the ST1 as shown in the figure below.
Preparation tool:
ST1: PULLEY WRENCH (18355AA000)
ST2: PULLEY WRENCH PIN SET (18334AA000)
- Remove the crank pulley.
