Upper Inner Trim: Removal
CAUTION:
Before handling the airbag system components, refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM"
. Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>General Description>CAUTION
.
- Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
- Remove the cover side sill front RR, the cover side sill rear UPR, weather strip body side flange, and the trim panel assembly B pillar LWR. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>Lower Inner Trim>REMOVAL .
- Remove the trim panel assembly A pillar.
- Pull the trim panel assembly A pillar towards the center of the vehicle.
- Rotate the tether clip B in the arrow direction to disengage the clip.
- Rotate the trim panel assembly A pillar in the arrow direction.
- Release the hook at the end of the tether clip A, and remove the trim panel assembly A pillar.
CAUTION:- Do not use any tool when releasing the hook at the end of the trim panel assembly A pillar .
- Be careful not to damage the trim panel assembly A pillar surface and curtain airbag module .
- Remove the cover bolt rear outside second. Ref. to SEATS>Second Seat>REMOVAL .
- Remove the trim panel assembly B pillar UPR.
- Remove the cover through, and remove the seat belt anchor bolt.
- Remove the bolt on the lower side of the trim panel assembly B pillar UPR.
- Remove the clip by pulling the upper part of the trim toward you, and while lowering the entire trim, remove the trim panel assembly B pillar UPR.
CAUTION: Do not reuse the upper clips of the trim panel assembly B pillar UPR. Once the clip is removed, its holding force is reduced. Be sure to replace it with a new clip .
