  1. CHECK DATA MONITOR  .

Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items in the [Data Monitor] of [EyeSight]. Refer to EyeSight (DIAGNOSTICS)>Data Monitor .

    • Cruise Control SW Voltage (Port 14)
    • Cruise Control SW Voltage (Port 16)

Is the voltage according to the pressed EyeSight steering switch displayed?

Yes  : Even if DTC is displayed, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again.

NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.

    No  : Go to  2.

  2. CHECK HARNESS  .
    1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
    2. Disconnect the stereo camera connector and steering roll connector (i72).
    3. Using a tester, measure the resistance between stereo camera connector and steering roll connector.

      Connector & terminal

      (i95) No. 12 - (Rf21) No. 14:

      (i95) No. 11 - (Rf21) No. 16:

      (i95) No. 4 - (Rf21) No. 15:

Is the resistance less than 1 Ω?

    Yes  : Go to  3.

No  : Repair or replace an open circuit in harness between stereo camera connector and steering roll connector.

  3. CHECK HARNESS  .

Using a tester, measure the resistance between the steering roll connector and chassis ground.

    Connector & terminal

    (i95) No. 12 - Chassis ground:

    (i95) No. 11 - Chassis ground:

    (i95) No. 4 - Chassis ground:

Is the resistance 1 MΩ or more?

    Yes  : Go to  4.

No  : Repair or replace the short circuit to ground in harness between stereo camera connector and steering roll connector.

  4. CHECK STEERING ROLL CONNECTOR  .
    1. Remove the driver's airbag module. Refer to AIRBAG SYSTEM>Driver's Airbag Module>REMOVAL .
    2. Using a tester, measure the resistance between terminals of steering roll connector.

      Terminal No. Inspection conditions Standard
      A4 - C12 Always Less than 1 Ω
      A3 - C11 Always Less than 1 Ω
      A9 - C4 Always Less than 1 Ω

    Is the check result OK?

    Yes  : Go to  5.

No  : Replace the steering roll connector. Refer to AIRBAG SYSTEM>Roll Connector .

  5. CHECK SWITCH  .

Check the EyeSight steering switch. Refer to EYESIGHT>CRUISE CONTROL COMMAND SWITCH .

Is the check result of EyeSight steering switch OK?

Yes  : Replace the stereo camera. Refer to EYESIGHT>STEREO CAMERA .

No  : Replace the EyeSight steering switch. Refer to EYESIGHT>CRUISE CONTROL COMMAND SWITCH .
