Cruise Control Is Not Released After Brake Pedal Has Been Depressed

  1. PERFORM REAL TIME DIAGNOSIS  .

    Check the input signal of cruise control system. Refer to EyeSight (DIAGNOSTICS)>Real-time Diagnosis .

    Is the check result OK?

    Yes  : The circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time.

    NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.

    No  : Go to  2.

  2. CHECK STOP LIGHT & BRAKE SWITCH  .

    Check stop light switch and brake switch. Refer to BRAKE>Brake Pedal . Refer to EyeSight (DIAGNOSTICS)>Diagnostic Procedure with ECU Cancel Code>12 .

    Is the check result OK?

    Yes  : Replace the ECM. Refer to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO)>Engine Control Module (ECM) . Refer to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DOTC)>Engine Control Module (ECM) .

    No  : Repair or replace the faulty portion according to the inspection result.
