Rear Gate Garnish: Removal

  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from 12V engine restart battery sensor. Refer to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
    NOTE: For the hybrid model, disconnect the battery negative terminal.
  2. Remove the trim panel - rear gate LWR. Refer to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>REAR GATE TRIM>REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the garnish assembly - rear gate.
    1. Remove the nuts.

    2. Remove the clips and remove the garnish assembly - rear gate.

  4. As necessary, remove each part from the garnish assembly - rear gate.
