DTC B178B: Seat Factory Calibration Uncompleted

Diagnosis start condition: 

When the ignition voltage is 10 V - 16 V.

DTC detecting condition: 

Sensor rezero adjustment was not performed at seat factory.

NOTE: This DTC is detected only when replacing the occupant detection control module. When this DTC is detected at replacement of passenger's seat, this means that [Rezeroing] for the passenger's seat assembly was not performed at seat factory before shipping. In this case, replace the passenger's seat assembly.

Trouble symptom: 

Occupant judgment of occupant detection control module stops.

CAUTION: Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Ref. to OCCUPANT DETECTION (DIAGNOSTICS)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
  1. CHECK OPERATION  .

    Confirm which one was replaced, occupant detection control module or passenger's seat.

    Is it the occupant detection control module that was replaced?

    Yes  : Perform [Rezeroing]. Ref. to OCCUPANT DETECTION (DIAGNOSTICS)>REZERO .

    No  : Replace the passenger's seat assembly. Ref. to SEATS>FRONT SEAT>DISASSEMBLY>PASSENGER'S SEAT .
