Line Pressure Test: Inspection
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
WARNING:
During the line pressure test, confirm safety in the vicinity and make sure no person is around the vehicle.
CAUTION:
Vehicle components are extremely hot immediately after driving. Be wary of receiving burns from heated parts.
- Check the engine oil level. Ref. to LUBRICATION (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>ENGINE OIL>INSPECTION .
- Check the engine coolant level. Ref. to COOLING (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>ENGINE COOLANT>INSPECTION .
- Remove the test plug (line pressure), and install ST1, ST2 and ST3.CAUTION: Because the ATF will flow out, install ST1, ST2 and ST3 quickly.NOTE:
- Prepare the container for draining of engine oil.
- Before removing the test plug (line pressure), connect install ST1, ST2 and ST3.
- Use the ST3 with genuine O-ring (part No. 806911080) attached.
Preparation tool:
ST1: OIL PRESSURE GAUGE ASSY (498575400)
ST2: OIL PRESSURE ADAPTER SET (498897700)
ST3: PRESSURE GAUGE ADAPTER (18681AA010)
- Set the gauge so that it can be seen from the driver's seat.
- Turn off all systems causing an electrical load, such as headlights, A/C, seat heater and rear defogger.
- Apply the parking brake.
- Turn to READY ON.
- Turn OFF the pre-collision brake function.
- Check the ATF level. Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TH2A)>AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID>INSPECTION .
- Place wheel chocks at the front and rear of all wheels.
- Record the line pressure with the engine idling.CAUTION: Perform the line pressure inspection within the [ATF Temp.] range of 35 - 45°C (95 - 113°F).
Specification:
0.04 - 0.09 MPa (0.41 - 0.92 kgf/cm2 , 5.80 - 13.05 psi)
- Remove the ST (oil pressure gauge assembly, oil pressure adapter set, and pressure gauge adapter), and then install the test plug (line pressure) using a new O-ring.CAUTION: Because the ATF will flow out, install the test plug (line pressure) quickly.NOTE: Apply ATF to the O-ring.
Tightening torque:
22 N.m (2.2 kgf-m, 16.2 ft-lb)
- Check the ATF level. Ref. to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TH2A)>AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID>INSPECTION .
