Check The Inhibitor Switch Position

WARNING: While checking, confirm safety in the vicinity and make sure no person is around the vehicle.
  1. Place wheel chocks at the front and rear of all wheels.
  2. Apply the parking brake.
  3. Turn to READY ON.
  4. Shift the select lever into "R range", then release the brake pedal.
  5. Slowly move the select lever to the "N range", and check amount of movement (A) until the position where vehicle drive force completely disappears.
  6. Shift the select lever into "D range", then release the brake pedal.
  7. Slowly move the select lever to the "N range", and check amount of movement (B) until the position where vehicle drive force completely disappears.

  8. Check that the amounts of movement in "R" range and "D" range are the same.
