- CHECK Battery (12V) terminal
.NOTE: To check if DTC is reproduced, turn to IG ON before checking DTC, and shake Wire harness vertically or horizontally.
Check the connecting condition of Battery (12V) terminal. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
Is there looseness or poor contact in the terminal?
Yes : Connect Battery (12V) terminal securely.
No : Go to 2.
- CHECK GROUND WIRE CONNECTION
.NOTE: To check if DTC is reproduced, turn to IG ON before checking DTC, and shake the wire harness vertically or horizontally.
Check connection of the ground wire on the body side that is connected to the ground terminal.
Is the ground wire connected to the body securely?
Yes : Go to 3.
No : Connect the ground wire securely.
- CHECK Slow blow fuse
.
- Disconnect the ground terminal of Battery (12V). Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
- Disconnect the positive terminal of Battery (12V). Ref. to STARTING/CHARGING SYSTEMS (H4DO (HEV))>BATTERY .
- Check the installation condition of Slow blow fuse. Ref. to STARTING/CHARGING SYSTEMS (H4DO (HEV))>BATTERY CABLE ASSEMBLY .
Is it tightened securely, and free from poor contact?
Yes : Go to 4.
No : Install securely. Or repair the poor contact.
- CHECK Slow blow fuse
.
Using a tester, measure the resistance of Slow blow fuse.
Connector & terminal
Slow blow fuse (Battery (12V) side) - Slow blow fuse (M/B side):
Is the resistance less than 1 Ω?
Yes : Go to 5.
No : Replace Slow blow fuse (BATT-MAIN). Ref. to STARTING/CHARGING SYSTEMS (H4DO (HEV))>BATTERY CABLE ASSEMBLY .
- CHECK FUSE (SBF-8 30A)
.NOTE: To check if DTC is reproduced, turn to IG ON before checking DTC, and apply vibration to the fuse by tapping by hand and so on.
- Remove the SBF-8 30A FUSE from the Main fuse box (M/B). Ref. to HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE>RELAY AND FUSE .
- Using a tester, measure the resistance between SBF-8 30A FUSE terminals.
Connector & terminal
SBF-8 30A FUSE (Battery (12V) side) - SBF-8 30A FUSE (IGCT IG relay side):
Is the resistance less than 1 Ω?
Yes : Go to 6.
No : Replace the fuse.
- CHECK RELAY UNIT (IGCT IG)
.NOTE: To check if DTC is reproduced, turn to IG ON before checking DTC, and apply vibration to the relay by tapping by hand and so on.
- Remove the IGCT IG relay from the Relay holder. Ref. to HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE>RELAY AND FUSE .
- Using a tester, measure the resistance between IGCT IG relay terminals.
Connector & terminal
(B225) No. 32 - (B225) No. 33:
Is the resistance as follows?
When Battery (12V) voltage is applied between terminals of (B225) No. 31 (+) - (B225) No. 34 (-): Less than 1 Ω
When Battery (12V) voltage is not applied between terminals of (B225) No. 31 (+) - (B225) No. 34 (-): 10 kΩ or more
Yes : Go to 7.
