DTC P060A-94: Hybrid/EV Powertrain Control Module Monitoring Processor Unexpected Operation: Notes

1. - 

Outline of diagnosis: 

• Information of the sub CPU in Hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly was received at the main CPU, and an unexpected value continued for a predetermined period of time
• Monitoring function in Hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly detected conflicts caused by calculation fault or sensor fault of Hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly

(1 trip detection logic)

Trouble symptom: 

1. Normal driving
2. When malfunction continues
   • Hybrid system stopped

1. CHECK DTC  .

   Read the DTC of [P-HEV Drive Motor] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to P-HEV DRIVE MOTOR (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .

   Are DTC P0A3F16, P0A3F21 and P0A3F22 displayed?

   Yes  : Perform the diagnosis of DTC P0A3F16, P0A3F21 and P0A3F22. Ref. to P-HEV DRIVE MOTOR (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .

   NOTE: If more than one DTC is simultaneously displayed, perform the diagnosis in the order described above.

   No  : Go to  2.

2. CHECK DTC  .

   Read the DTC of [Brake Control] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to BRAKE CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS) (HEV)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .

   Are DTC C1401, C1402, C1405, C1406, C1413 and C1414 displayed?

   Yes  : Perform the diagnosis for DTC C1401, C1402, C1405, C1406, C1413 and C1414. Ref. to BRAKE CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS) (HEV)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .

   NOTE: If more than one DTC is simultaneously displayed, perform the diagnosis in the order described above.

   No  : Go to  3.

3. CHECK DTC  .

   Read the DTC of [P-HEV Hybrid Powertrain Control] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to P-HEV HYBRID POWERTRAIN CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .

   Is DTC P060A94 displayed?

   Yes  : Go to  4.

   No  : Perform the diagnosis for DTC other than P060A94. Ref. to P-HEV HYBRID POWERTRAIN CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .

4. CHECK FREEZE FRAME DATA  .

   Read the freeze frame data value of [P-HEV Hybrid Powertrain Control] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to P-HEV HYBRID POWERTRAIN CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>FREEZE FRAME DATA .

   Is the vehicle in parked condition ([FR Wheel Speed] and [FL Wheel Speed] are 0 - 1.4 [km/h] (0 - 1 mph)), and is [Vehicle Speed] less than 3 [km/h] (2 mph)?

   Yes  : Replace Hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly. Ref. to HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE>HYBRID POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE .

   No  : Check MOTOR RESOLVER CIRCUIT. For the inspection method, refer to the diagnosis of DTC P0A3F16 for [Drive Motor]. Ref. to P-HEV DRIVE MOTOR (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE WITH DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)>DTC P0A3F16 DRIVE MOTOR "A" POSITION SENSOR CIRCUIT VOLTAGE BELOW THRESHOLD .
