Clutch Pedal: Installation
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Install the clutch pedal assembly.
Tightening torque:
18 N.m (1.8 kgf-m, 13.3 ft-lb)
- Install the snap pin and clevis pin connecting the operating rod and brake pedal.CAUTION: Always use a new clevis pin.?NOTE: Apply grease to the clevis pin.
- Connect the connector to the stop light switch.
- Connect the connector to the clutch switch and clutch start switch.
- Install the duct - foot driver. Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER (EXCEPT FOR HEV)>HEATER DUCT>INSTALLATION>FOOT>LH SIDE .
- Install the steering column. Ref. to POWER ASSISTED SYSTEM (POWER STEERING)>STEERING COLUMN>INSTALLATION .
- Connect the tank hose.
- Temporarily install the two-way connector and the clutch connector bracket, and engage the clutch pipe.
- Install the two-way connector and the clutch connector bracket.
Tightening torque:
7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)
- Tighten the clutch pipe.
Tightening torque:
15 N.m (1.5 kgf-m, 11.1 ft-lb)
- Install the clutch pipe.
- Install the vacuum pipe & hose assembly.
Tightening torque:
7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)
- Add the recommended brake fluid. Ref. to CLUTCH SYSTEM>CLUTCH FLUID .
- After bleeding air from the clutch system, ensure that no fluid leaks and the clutch operates properly. Ref. to CLUTCH SYSTEM>CLUTCH FLUID AIR BLEEDING>PROCEDURE .
- Adjust the clutch pedal. Ref. to CLUTCH SYSTEM>CLUTCH PEDAL>ADJUSTMENT .
- Install the instrument panel lower cover. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>INSTRUMENT PANEL LOWER COVER>INSTALLATION .
- Install the air intake boot. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>AIR INTAKE BOOT>INSTALLATION .
- Connect the ground terminal to 12V engine restart battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
- Check the clutch start system.
