The Hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly calculates the differences of the voltage of main accelerator sensor and sub accelerator sensor. If the differences exceed prescribed values, the Hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly determines that there is a malfunction in the accelerator sensor circuit. If the Hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly detects this malfunction, it will illuminate the MIL and store a DTC.
