  1. CHECK Electric vehicle charger cable assembly (VISUAL CHECK)  .

Check that there is no foreign substance on the Electric vehicle charger cable assembly (charging connector).

NOTE: It is possible that a piece of wood has been caught inside the connector, preventing charging.

Is there an adhering foreign substance?

Yes  : Remove the foreign substance.

    No  : Go to  2.

  2. CHECK THE Electric vehicle charger cable assembly (UNLOCK BUTTON (PISW) CHECK)  .

Check that operation is smooth when the unlock button (PISW) is operated.

    Is operation smooth?

    Yes  : Go to  3.

No  : Replace Electric vehicle charger cable assembly.

  3. CHECK THE Electric vehicle charger cable assembly (CONNECTION CHECK)  .

Check that smooth connection is possible when the Electric vehicle charger cable assembly and AC charger inlet cable (Charging inlet) are connected.

    Is a smooth connection possible?

    Yes  : Go to  4.

No  : Check that there is no pin bending or deformation of the Electric vehicle charger cable assembly (charging connector). If there is deformation, replace the Electric vehicle charger cable assembly.

Check that there is no pin bending or deformation of the AC charger inlet cable (Charging inlet). If there is deformation, replace the AC charger inlet cable.

  4. CHECK THE AC charger inlet cable (Charging inlet - HV BATTERY CHARGER WIRE CONNECTOR)  .
CAUTION: Make sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles during the work.
    1. Check that the Service plug is disconnected. Ref. to HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE>SERVICE PLUG .
    2. Disconnect AC charger inlet cable connector (HV26).
    3. Using a tester, measure the resistance between AC charger inlet cable (Charging inlet) connectors.

      (HV29) No. 1 - (HV26) No. 2:

      (HV29) No. 2 - (HV26) No. 1:

Is the resistance less than 1 Ω?

    Yes  : Go to  5.

No  : Replace AC charger inlet cable. Ref. to HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE>CHARGE INLET .

  5. CHECK THE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (Electric vehicle charger assembly - Charging inlet) (SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY)  .
CAUTION: Make sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles during the work.
    1. Disconnect Electric vehicle charger assembly connector (HV32).
    2. Using a tester, measure the resistance between AC charger inlet cable (Charging inlet) connector and Electric vehicle charger assembly connector.

      Connector & terminal

      (HV30) No. 2 - (HV32) No. 1:

      (HV30) No. 1 - (HV32) No. 2:

Is the resistance less than 1 Ω?

Yes  : Replace Electric vehicle charger assembly. Ref. to HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE>ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGER .

No  : Replace the harness between AC charger inlet cable (Charging inlet) and Electric vehicle charger assembly.
