DTC P1CCD-96: Sub Dc/Dc Converter (For Charging) Component Internal Failure: Notes

1. - 

Outline of diagnosis: 

The following conditions were met 2 times during charging.*

An error occurred at the sub DCDC converter, and the Battery (12V) voltage was 11 V or less.

*: A DTC is not output when the above conditions are satisfied during the first charging. The DTC is output at the time of the second charging.

(1 trip detection logic)

  1. CHECK DTC  .

    Read the DTC of [Plug-in Battery Charger] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to PLUG-IN BATTERY CHARGER (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .

    NOTE:

    If only DTC P1CCD96 is displayed, or a DTC other than those shown in the above reference is displayed, go to  A.

    When DTCs mentioned above are simultaneously displayed, go to  B.

    Yes  :

    1. Go to  2.
    2. Perform the diagnosis for the simultaneously displayed DTCs.
    NOTE: If more than one DTC is simultaneously displayed, perform the diagnosis in the order described in the above.

    No  : -

  2. CHECK FUSE (AMD2)  .
    1. Remove the SBF-9 30A FUSE from the Main fuse box (M/B).
    2. Check SBF-9 30A FUSE. Ref. to HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE>RELAY AND FUSE .

    Is the fuse OK?

    Yes  : Go to  3.

    No  : Replace the fuse.

  3. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (Electric vehicle charger assembly CONNECTOR)  .
    CAUTION: Make sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles during the work.
    1. Check that the Service plug is disconnected. Ref. to HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE>SERVICE PLUG .
    2. Check the connecting condition of connector (R516) in Electric vehicle charger assembly and check the relevant terminals for contact pressure, deformation and intrusion of water or foreign matters.

    Is there looseness at the connector connection, or any poor contact, deformation or intrusion of water or foreign matters at the relevant terminals?

    Yes  : Connect the connector securely. Or repair the poor contact of connector.

    No  : Go to  4.

  4. CHECK Electric vehicle charger assembly (AMD2 VOLTAGE)  .
    CAUTION: Make sure to wear insulated gloves and protective goggles during the work.
    1. Connect the Battery (12V) ground terminal. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
    2. Using a tester, measure the voltage between Electric vehicle charger assembly connector and chassis ground.

      Connector & terminal 

      (R516) No. 1 (+) - Chassis ground (-):

    Is the voltage 11 - 14 V?

    Yes  : Replace Electric vehicle charger assembly. Ref. to HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE>ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGER .

    No  : Repair or replace the Wire harness between Electric vehicle charger assembly connector and chassis ground.
