Inverter Center Water Pipe

  1. Drain engine coolant. (Inverter assembly side) Ref. to COOLING (H4DO (HEV))>ENGINE COOLANT>REPLACEMENT>DRAINING OF ENGINE COOLANT>INVERTER ASSEMBLY SIDE .
  2. Remove the fuel tank protector and the cover of inverter with converter assembly. Ref. to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (H4DO (HEV))>FUEL TANK PROTECTOR>REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the floor under protector. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>FLOOR UNDER PROTECTOR>REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the rear exhaust pipe and muffler as a single unit.

    Rear exhaust pipe: 

    Ref. to EXHAUST (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>REAR EXHAUST PIPE>REMOVAL .

    Muffler: 

    Ref. to EXHAUST (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>MUFFLER>REMOVAL .

  5. Remove the tunnel stay.

  6. Remove the propeller shaft. Ref. to DRIVE SHAFT SYSTEM>PROPELLER SHAFT>REMOVAL .
  7. Remove the crossmember support - rear RH. Ref. to FRONT SUSPENSION>CROSSMEMBER SUPPORT>REMOVAL .
  8. Remove the inverter center water pipe outlet hose (B) and inverter center water pipe inlet hose (C) from the clamp (A).
  9. Disconnect the inverter center water pipe outlet hose (B) and inverter center water pipe inlet hose (C) from the inverter center water pipe.
    NOTE: Make markings, etc. to prevent mis-connection at the time of connecting the inverter center water pipe inlet hose and inverter center water pipe outlet hose.

  10. Disconnect the inverter rear water pipe outlet hose (A) and inverter rear water pipe inlet hose (B) from the inverter center water pipe.
    NOTE: Make markings, etc. to prevent mis-connection at the time of connecting the inverter rear water pipe inlet hose and inverter rear water pipe outlet hose.

  11. Remove the bolt and clip (A) securing the inverter center water pipe and the resolver sensor harness.

  12. Remove the clip (A) securing the resolver sensor harness to the inverter center water pipe.
  13. Remove the claw (B) and claw (C) securing the resolver sensor harness to the inverter center water pipe, and remove the inverter center water pipe.
