Section 11 (HVAC System (Heater, Ventilator And A/C) (HEV)): Evaporator: Removal

- Using the refrigerant recovery system, discharge refrigerant. Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER (HEV)>REFRIGERANT RECOVERY PROCEDURE>PROCEDURE .
- Disconnect the ground terminal from battery and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
- Drain engine coolant. (Engine side) Ref. to COOLING (H4DO (HEV))>ENGINE COOLANT>REPLACEMENT>DRAINING OF ENGINE COOLANT .
- Remove the heater and cooling unit assembly. Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER (HEV)>HEATER AND COOLING UNIT>REMOVAL .
- Remove the internal condenser. Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER (HEV)>CONDENSER>REMOVAL>INTERIOR CONDENSER .
- Remove the heater core. Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER (HEV)>HEATER CORE>REMOVAL .
- Remove the motor - actuator mix. Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER (HEV)>AIR MIX DOOR ACTUATOR>REMOVAL .
- Remove the case assembly - heater unit.
- Remove the screws.
- Remove the lock, and remove the case assembly - heater unit.
- Remove the evaporator assembly as shown in the figure.
- Remove the evaporator sensor. Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER (HEV)>EVAPORATOR SENSOR>REMOVAL .
