Reverse Idler Gear: Installation

- Install the reverse shifter lever, adjusting washer, reverse idler gear, reverse idler gear shaft and washer, and secure them with a new straight pin.CAUTION: Be sure to install the reverse idler gear shaft from rear side.
- Check and adjust clearance between the reverse idler gear and the timing case wall surface. Refer to MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND DIFFERENTIAL (5MT)>REVERSE IDLER GEAR>INSPECTION .
- Install the shifter forks and rods. Refer to MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND DIFFERENTIAL (5MT)>SHIFTER FORK AND ROD>INSTALLATION .
- Install the front differential assembly. Refer to MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND DIFFERENTIAL (5MT)>FRONT DIFFERENTIAL ASSEMBLY>INSTALLATION .
- Install the main shaft assembly. Refer to MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND DIFFERENTIAL (5MT)>MAIN SHAFT ASSEMBLY>INSTALLATION .
- Install the drive pinion shaft assembly. Refer to MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND DIFFERENTIAL (5MT)>DRIVE PINION SHAFT ASSEMBLY>INSTALLATION .
- Install the transmission case. Refer to MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND DIFFERENTIAL (5MT)>TRANSMISSION CASE>INSTALLATION .
- Install the transfer case together with the extension case assembly. Refer to MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND DIFFERENTIAL (5MT)>TRANSFER CASE AND EXTENSION CASE ASSEMBLY>INSTALLATION .
- Install the back-up light switch and the neutral position switch. Refer to MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND DIFFERENTIAL (5MT)>SWITCHES AND HARNESS>INSTALLATION .
- Install the manual transmission assembly to the vehicle. Refer to MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND DIFFERENTIAL (5MT)>MANUAL TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY>INSTALLATION .
