Backup Unit: Removal

  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from 12V engine restart battery sensor. Refer to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
    NOTE: For the hybrid model, disconnect the battery negative terminal.
  2. Remove the grille assembly - CTR ventilation. Refer to AIR CONDITIONERS EXCEPT FOR HEV)>AIR VENT GRILLE>REMOVAL>CENTER GRILLE ASSEMBLY .
  3. Remove the panel - center UPR. Refer to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>AUDIO>REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the audio assembly or navigation assembly. Refer to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>AUDIO>REMOVAL .
  5. Remove the screws and remove the backup unit.
