DTC B1014: Acc Power

DTC detecting condition: 

Voltage failure caused by poor contact of ACC power supply circuit

Trouble symptom: 

Interior light may not operate at ACC position.

Wiring diagram: 

Shift lock control system Ref. to WIRING SYSTEM (IMPREZA MODEL)>SHIFT LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM>WIRING DIAGRAM . Ref. to WIRING SYSTEM (CROSSTREK MODEL (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>SHIFT LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM>WIRING DIAGRAM . Ref. to WIRING SYSTEM (CROSSTREK MODEL (HEV))>SHIFT LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM>WIRING DIAGRAM .

CAUTION: Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Ref. to BODY CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
  1. CHECK DTC  .
    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    2. Read the DTC of [Body Control] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to BODY CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .

      Is DTC B1014 displayed? (Current malfunction)

      Yes  : Go to  2.

      No  : Go to  6.

  2. CHECK DTC  .
    1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
    2. Disconnect and then connect the body integrated unit connector.
    3. Wait approx. 2 minutes.
    4. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    5. Read the DTC of [Body Control] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to BODY CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .

      Is DTC B1014 displayed? (Current malfunction)

      Yes  : Go to  3.

      No  : Go to  6.

  3. CHECK FUSE  .
    1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
    2. Check the fuse.

      Is the check result OK?

      Yes  : Go to  4.

      No  : Replace the defective fuse.

  4. CHECK HARNESS  .
    1. Disconnect the F/B connector.
    2. Use a tester to measure the voltage between the battery and F/B connector.

      Connector & terminal 

      (B159) No. 2 (+) - Chassis ground (-):

      Is the voltage 8.5 - 16.5 V?

      Yes  : Replace the body integrated unit. Ref. to SECURITY AND LOCKS>BODY INTEGRATED UNIT .

      No  : Go to  5.

  5. CHECK RELAY  .

    Perform individual inspection of the accessory relay 1. Ref. to SECURITY AND LOCKS>RELAY AND FUSE .

    Is the relay OK?

    Yes  : Repair the harness between F/B and M/B.

    No  : Replace the relay.

  6. CHECK CONNECTOR  .
    1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
    2. Disconnect the body integrated unit connector.

      Is the check result OK?

      Yes  : Repair or replace the poor contact of connector.

      No  : Even if DTC is displayed, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time.

      Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again.

      NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.
