EGR Control Valve: Installation

- Connect the preheater hose (B) and connector (A) to the EGR control valve.
- Install the EGR control valve and EGR control valve bracket A to the EGR cooler and EGR control valve bracket B.
- Set the EGR control valve and EGR control valve bracket A to the EGR cooler and EGR control valve bracket B, and temporarily tighten the bolts which secure the EGR control valve and EGR control valve bracket A to the EGR cooler and EGR control valve bracket B.NOTE: Use a new gasket.
- Tighten the bolts which secure the EGR control valve and EGR control valve bracket A to the EGR cooler and EGR control valve bracket B in numerical order as shown in the figure.
Tightening torque:
T1: 6.4 N.m (0.7 kgf-m, 4.7 ft-lb)
T2: 19 N.m (1.9 kgf-m, 14.0 ft-lb)
- Set the EGR control valve and EGR control valve bracket A to the EGR cooler and EGR control valve bracket B, and temporarily tighten the bolts which secure the EGR control valve and EGR control valve bracket A to the EGR cooler and EGR control valve bracket B.
- Install the EGR pipe. Refer to EMISSION CONTROL (AUX. EMISSION CONTROL DEVICES) (EXCEPT FOR STI)>EGR PIPE>INSTALLATION .
- Install the intercooler. Refer to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (EXCEPT FOR STI)>INTERCOOLER>INSTALLATION .
- Lift up the vehicle.
- Install the under cover. Refer to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>FRONT UNDER COVER>INSTALLATION .
- Lower the vehicle.
- Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Refer to NOTE>NOTE>BATTERY .
- Fill engine coolant. Refer to COOLING (EXCEPT FOR STI)>ENGINE COOLANT>REPLACEMENT>FILLING OF ENGINE COOLANT .
- Install the collector cover. Refer to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (EXCEPT FOR STI)>COLLECTOR COVER>INSTALLATION .
