Oil Pipe Assy

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Remove the collector cover. Refer to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (EXCEPT FOR STI)>COLLECTOR COVER>REMOVAL .
  2. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Refer to NOTE>NOTE>BATTERY .
  3. Remove the intake duct No. 2. Refer to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (EXCEPT FOR STI)>INTAKE DUCT>REMOVAL>INTAKE DUCT NO. 2 .
  4. Lift up the vehicle.
  5. Disconnect the ground cable (A) and oil outlet hose (B) from the oil pipe assembly.

  6. Disconnect the union screw pipe assembly from the oil pipe assembly, and remove the bolt which holds the oil pipe assembly.
    CAUTION: In order to prevent damaging the oil pipe assembly, fix the section (a) shown in the figure when loosing the flare nut on the union screw pipe assembly, and avoid the part from rotating together while loosening the nut.

  7. Remove the bolt which secures the oil pipe assembly to the cam carrier RH.

  8. Lower the vehicle.
  9. Remove the union bolts which secure the oil pipe assembly from the scavenge pump and the intake rear camshaft cap RH, and remove the oil pipe assembly.
