Thermostat (FA20/For Engine Coolant): Removal

  1. Removal of exhaust manifold (Refer to REMOVAL )
  2. Draining of coolant (SUBARU Super Coolant) (Refer to COOLANT (FA20) )
  3. Radiator outlet hose disconnection
    1. Move the hose clamp and disconnect the radiator outlet hose.
      NOTE: Since the hose has its proper installation position, mark the alignment mark before removing it.

  4. Thermostat cover removal
    1. Remove the two bolts and remove the thermostat cover.

  5. Thermostat removal
    1. Remove the thermostat.
    2. Remove the gasket from the thermostat.
