EGR Control Valve: Removal

  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to BATTERY
    NOTE: Repair Contents.
  2. Remove the clip (A), and loosen the clamps (B) and (C) securing the air intake boot.

  3. Remove the air intake boot from the air cleaner case (rear) and throttle body, and move it to the left side wheel apron.

  4. Loosen the bolts holding the EGR cooler to the cylinder head RH.

  5. Remove the EGR pipe. Ref. to REMOVAL , EGR Pipe.
  6. Remove the bolts (A) securing the EGR cooler to the EGR control valve.
  7. Disconnect the connector (B) from EGR control valve, and remove the EGR control valve from the intake manifold assembly.

  8. Remove the EGR pipe adapter from EGR control valve.
