CVTF Cooler Pipe and Hose: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

CAUTION: When installing the CVTF cooler pipe assembly on vehicle side, be careful not to bend the A/C pipe.

Install the CVTF cooler pipe assembly to vehicle.
Tightening torque:

7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)

Install the A/C pipe to clip.
Install the CVTF cooler (air cool) inlet hose and the CVTF cooler (air cool) outlet hose. (OUTBACK model)
NOTE: Use new CVTF cooler (air cool) inlet hose and the CVTF cooler (air cool) outlet hose.

Install the headlight assembly LH. (OUTBACK model) Ref. to INSTALLATION , Headlight Assembly.
Install the front bumper. (OUTBACK model) Ref. to INSTALLATION , Front Bumper.
Install the battery cable bracket, and install the battery cable clip to the bracket.
Tightening torque:

7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)

Lift up the vehicle.
Install the CVTF CVT inlet hose and CVTF CVT outlet hose.
NOTE: Use new CVTF CVT inlet hose and CVTF CVT outlet hose.

Install the CVTF radiator inlet hose and CVTF radiator outlet hose on radiator side.
NOTE: Use new CVTF radiator inlet hose and CVTF radiator outlet hose.

Install the front exhaust pipe. Ref. to INSTALLATION , Front Exhaust Pipe.
Lower the vehicle.
Install the engine coolant reservoir tank. Ref. to INSTALLATION , Reservoir Tank.
Install the battery and battery box. Ref. to INSTALLATION , Battery.
Adjust the CVTF level and check there is no leakage. Ref. to ADJUSTMENT , CVTF.
