DTC PROCEDURE
| Step | Check | Yes | No |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 CHECK HIGH VOLTAGE BATTERY COOLING FAN. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, perform «High Voltage Battery Cooling Fan» of System Operation Check Mode for the drive motor control system. < Ref. to DRIVE MOTOR CONTROL SYSTEM , OPERATION, System Operation Check Mode.> |
Does the cooling fan speed change when the speed is switched across 4 steps (Stop, Steps 1 - 3)? | Even if DTC is detected, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again.
NOTE:
In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.
|
Go to step 2 . |
2 CHECK HARNESS (SHORT TO GROUND).
|
Is the resistance 1 MΩ or more? | Go to step 3 . | Repair short to ground circuit in harness between DMCM connector and high voltage battery cooling fan connector, or repair the intermediate connector. |
3 CHECK DTC.
|
Is the same DTC detected? (current malfunction) | Replace DMCM. < Ref. to appropriate DRIVE MOTOR CONTROL MODULE in Continuously Variable Transmission TH58A article.> | There is an abnormal condition in the high voltage battery cooling fan. |
