How To Troubleshoot

  1. Bring in the car

  2. Interview and phenomenon check (Refer to CHECK LIST FOR INTERVIEW  )

  3. Battery voltage check
    1. Check the battery voltage.

      Voltage: 11 to 14 V

      NG: Battery charge or replacement

      OK: Go to next step

  4. CAN communication system communication function check
    NOTE: Refer to HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT
    1. Check CAN communication system.

      Result

      Result Go to
      Functioning properly A
      Not functioning properly B

      B: To CAN communication HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT

      A: Go to next step

  5. DTC check
    NOTE: Refer to CHECKING/CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC CODES 
    1. Check diagnostic codes and freeze frame data.
      1. Record diagnostic codes and freeze frame data.
    2. Clear diagnostic codes and freeze frame data.
    3. Recheck DTC.
      1. Reproduce the trouble phenomenon based on the recorded diagnostic codes and freeze frame data and check that the diagnostic codes are output again.

      Result

      Result Go to
      The diagnostic codes are normal and the trouble phenomenon can be checked and reproduced. A
      Abnormality codes are output. B
      The diagnostic codes are normal and the trouble phenomenon cannot be checked and reproduced. C

      B: Refer to LIST OF DIAGNOSTIC CODES  to troubleshoot each code and jump to step  9.

      C: To trouble simulation IN-32.

      A: Go to next step

  6. Symptom table (refer to SYMPTOM TABLE  )

    Result Go to
    Not applicable to the symptom table. A
    Applicable to the symptom table. B

    B: Perform troubleshooting for relevant symptom and go to step  8.

    A: Go to next step

  7. Troubleshooting by the following methods based on trouble phenomenon
    1. Current Data Display & Save (refer to CURRENT DATA DISPLAY & SAVE/SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK MODE  )
    2. System Operation Check Mode (refer to CURRENT DATA DISPLAY & SAVE/SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK MODE  )
    3. Manual driving test (refer to Driving Test List  )
    4. ECM terminal arrangement (refer to ECM TERMINAL ARRANGEMENT  ).
