Section 8 (Starting System & Charging System (H4DO)): Starter: Removal

- Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
- Remove the clip (A) from the air intake boot.
- Loosen the clamp (B) connecting the air intake boot and air cleaner case (rear).
- Loosen the clamp (C) which connects the air intake boot and throttle body.
- Remove the air intake boot from the throttle body, and move it to the left side wheel apron. (non-turbo model)
- Remove the intercooler. (turbo model) < Refer to REMOVAL , Intercooler. >
- Disconnect the connector (B) and terminal (A) from starter.
- Remove the starter from transmission.NOTE: For the AT model, a nut is used at (A).
