When Using Piano Wire

CAUTION:
- Do not tightly pull the piano wire against the windshield glass edge.
- Apply protective tape, etc, and be careful not to damage interior and exterior parts.
- Do not cross piano wires. Otherwise they may be cut.
- Disconnect the ground cable from battery. (Models with wiper deicer)
- Remove the front pillar upper trim. < Refer to REMOVAL , Upper Inner Trim. >
- Disconnect the wiper deicer connector. (Models with wiper deicer)
- Remove the cowl panel. < Refer to REMOVAL , Cowl Panel. >
- Remove the glass molding.
- Tape the body side of the circumference of windshield glass for protection.
- Using a drill or razor blade, make a hole in the adhesive part.
- Pass the piano wire through the hole, and attach both the wire ends securely to pieces of wood.
- Pull the wire ends alternately to cut off the adhesive part.
