Section 58 (Engine Mechanical (H6DO)): Camshaft: Removal

- Remove the crank pulley. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Crank Pulley. >
- Remove the front chain cover. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Front Chain Cover. >
- Remove the timing chain assembly.

- Remove the cam sprocket.

- Remove the crank sprocket.

- Remove the rear chain cover.

- Disconnect the oil pipe.
- Remove the rocker cover (LH).
- Remove the plugs (LH).
- Loosen the camshaft cap bolts equally, a little at a time in alphabetical sequence shown in the figure.
- Remove the camshaft caps and camshaft (LH).NOTE: Arrange camshaft caps in order so that they can be installed in their original positions.
- Similarly, remove the camshafts (RH) and related parts.
