Differential Side Retainer Oil Seal: Replacement
- Lift-up the vehicle.
- Remove the front exhaust pipe and center exhaust pipe. (Non-turbo model) < Ref. to REMOVAL , Front Exhaust Pipe . >
- Drain the gear oil from oil drain plug.
- Replace the gasket with new one, and then tighten the differential oil drain plug.
- Tightening torque: 44 N.m (4.5 kgf-m, 32.5 ft-lb)
- Separate the front drive shaft from transmission.

- Using a vinyl tape, etc. wrapped flat tip screwdriver, remove the differential side retainer oil seal.
- Using the ST, install the differential side retainer oil seal tapping ST lightly with a hammer.

NOTE: Be sure to apply oil to oil seal lip surface. - Install the front drive shaft. < Ref. to INSTALLATION , Front Drive Shaft . >
- Install the front exhaust pipe and center exhaust pipe. (Non-turbo model) < Ref. to INSTALLATION , Front Exhaust Pipe . >
- Lower the vehicle.
- Fill gear oil into the gauge hole. < Ref. to REPLACEMENT . >
