Center Exhaust Pipe: Removal
- Set the vehicle on a lift.
- Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
- Remove the intercooler. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Intercooler . >
- Remove the intercooler bracket.
- Lift-up the vehicle.
- Remove the under cover.
- Remove the bolts which install lower side of turbocharger upper cover.CAUTION: Be careful, the turbocharger and exhaust pipe are hot.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Remove the turbocharger upper cover.
- Remove the bolts which install upper side of turbocharger upper cover, and remove it.
- Separate the center exhaust pipe from turbocharger.
- Lift-up the vehicle.
- Disconnect the connector from rear oxygen sensor.
- Vertically draw out the clip from crossmember.
- Separate the center exhaust pipe from rear exhaust pipe.
- Remove the bolt which holds center exhaust pipe bracket to transmission.
- Remove the intercooler bracket.
- Remove the bolt which holds center exhaust pipe to hanger bracket.CAUTION: Be careful not to pull down the center exhaust pipe.
- Remove the center exhaust pipe.
