Combination Switch/CLOCKSPRING: Removal

Before proceeding, see SERVICE PRECAUTIONS . Disable SRS. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM . Position front wheels straight ahead. Unplug air bag module 3-pin Yellow connector at base of steering column. See Figure . Remove driver-side air bag module. See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE . Mark steering wheel and shaft for installation reference. Remove steering wheel. Remove upper and lower steering column covers. Remove combination switch.
