| 1 | Switch off ignition and remove key | ||
| 2 | Remove door paneling | AR72.18-P-1000SRA | |
| 3 | Disconnect left front electrical connector (X35/1) or right front door electrical connector (X35/2) | ||
| 4 | Disconnect electrical connection (10) | ||
| 5 | Disconnect electrical connection (11) | ||
| 6 | Remove grommet (21) and pull electrical wiring harness (26) in direction of door paneling (1) | ||
| 7.1 | Unclip cap in door handle with suitable tool and unscrew bolt (3) behind | Model 453.3/4 except code V21 (Electrically adjustable and heated outside mirrors (FFO)) |

| 7.2 | Remove outside mirror adjustment switch (S50), disconnect electrical connector and unscrew bolt (3) behind | Model 453.3/4 with code V21 (Electrically adjustable and heated outside mirrors (FFO)) When removing door panel (1) on drive side. |

| 8 | Unclip cap (4) | ||
| 9 | Remove screw (5) | ||
| 10 | Unscrew screw/bolt (7) | ||
| 11 | Remove expansion rivet (9) | ||
| 12 | Unclip door panel (1) starting at bottom and lift upward until electrical connectors and wire on inside door opener are accessible | Fig 1 | |
| 13 | Disconnect electrical connectors and wire from inside door opener | ||
| 14 | Remove door trim (1) | ||
| 15 | Check the retaining clips (12) for damage | If complaint present ↓ Replace retaining clips (12) |

| 16 | Unclip inside door opener from door trim (1) | When replacing door trim (1). | |
| 17 | Remove left front speaker (H4/5) or right front speaker (H4/6) from door trim (1) | When replacing door trim (1). | |
| 18 | Remove driver side power window switch (S20/1) or passenger side power window switch (S21/2) from door trim (1) |
When replacing door trim (1). | |
| 19 | Remove electrical subharness (26) from door trim (1) | When replacing door trim (1). | |
| 20 | Install in the reverse order |
