	Remove/install
1	Move driver seat towards the rear
2	Disconnect ground line for on-board electrical system battery (G1)		AR54.10-P-0003SR
3	Remove side paneling from instrument panel and unscrew bolts (2)	Bolt, bracket for kneebag to cross member	*BA91.60-P-1012-01C
4	Remove panel at bottom for center instrument panel		AR68.10-P-1498SR
5	Unscrew bolts (3) and unclip cover (1) from instrument panel	Do not tension electrical connectors (4, 5). Otherwise the electrical connectors (4, 5) can be damaged. Secure driver kneebag against falling down. : Check retaining clips for damage. Bolt, bracket for kneebag to cross member If complaint present ↓ Replace retaining clips	*BA91.60-P-1012-01C
6	Unclip cable tie (9)	Clip remover	Figure
7	Disconnect electrical connection (4)
8	Disconnect electrical connections (5)	The number of electrical connectors (5) varies depending on the vehicle equipment.
9	Remove cover (1) from vehicle
10	Remove left front footwell (E17/16) from cover (1)	When replacing cover (1).
11	Install in the reverse order
